Workshop to help manufacturers navigate the changing tides of international trade

Local manufacturers are invited to a free workshop on 29 September with the Smart Manufacturing Alliance to explore how they can make international trade run smoothly for their business. The event will also include a special tour of Photocentric’s world-class 3D printing hub on Titan Drive in Peterborough.

The breakfast event will open from 8.30am with networking and refreshments before Photocentric shares how they’ve successfully continued to manage exporting their products around the world for 20 years.

In an economy where cash is king, there will also be expert advice on managing cash flow and reducing the cost of foreign exchange from MHA MacIntyre Hudson and Ascendant. Both businesses are partners of the Smart Manufacturing Alliance and provide members with complimentary expert guidance to reduce unnecessary costs and improve performance.

The event will close with an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of Photocentric’s cutting-edge 3D printing facility for all attendees.

Bob Hart, Programme Director at the Smart Manufacturing Alliance, said, “After Brexit and COVID-19, manufacturers face a much more unpredictable climate for international trade. We’re delighted that Photocentric has agreed to share their experiences first-hand to help their fellow manufacturers run even more effectively.”

Paul Holt, Managing Director of Photocentric said, “We’ve learned a huge amount about international trade over the last 20 years and are proud to be Ambassadors for the Department for International Trade. As a business you need to be responsive and we want to help more manufacturers anticipate and overcome the challenges that come with exporting and importing goods around the world.”
