Time to get involved with the Local Skills Improvement Plan!

We are excited to bring you an update on Cambridgeshire and Peterborough’s Local Skills Improvement Plan (LSIP) and the opportunities available for you to influence the skills landscape!

What is an LSIP?

Funded by the Department for Education and independently led by Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce, the LSIP represents an exciting new approach to addressing skills gaps and reducing the barriers local employers face in recruiting, retaining and growing a workforce with the right skills.

By putting the voice of local employers at the heart of learning and skills, it will help the post-16 technical education and training provision better meet the needs of the region. As a locally owned and independent project, it seeks to forge a stronger, more dynamic partnership between employers and further education providers.

What’s next?

It is vital that input is received from a broad range of employers, of all sizes. So it’s time to get involved and help influence the skills landscape for businesses across the region.Your feedback will make a difference!

An online survey is now open for anyone to complete and will only take a few minutes of your time.

Cambridgeshire Chamber will be running workshops throughout the region in February, to gather views from all types of stakeholders. Starting on 6th February – click here to book your place now !

For the latest information on how to share your views, see Cambridgeshire Chambers of Commerce’s website and sign up to the LSIP mailing list.
